Apple has recently released the elusive AirPods online and will hit the stores next week. Orders for the AirPods made today will be delivered on December 22, 2016. Apple's website also states that the AirPods will be shipped in limited quantities and is available in 100 countries including Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Japan, UAE, the UK and the US. The AirPods costs $159 USD and requires Apple devices running the latest version of iOS 10, watchOS 3 or MacOS Sierra.
A recent review by TechCrunch showcased the capabilities of the AIrPods, the review states that Apple's new Bluetooth earbuds are far more superior that the standard pair of earbuds. The Apple AirPods has a range of 45 to 50 feet or longer if in an open field and 35 feet indoors. Although the audio quality is not the best in the market, the volume is incredibly loud.
The only downside of the review was the function of the accelerometer's limited functions which is for hanging up the phone or activating Siri through double tap gestures. The AirPods can also be used in a non-Apple device using the basic pairing method and get five hours of battery life with the case giving an additional 24 hours of charge.
With the release of the AirPods, Apple has once again may have set the trend in smartphone technology. This new innovation works amazingly well with other Apple products and can be connected to 5 iCloud accounts. Which means that the AIrPods can be shared by other phones logged into different accounts and two AirPods can be connected can be connected to one apple device. Apple has really proved that their products are still superior when it comes to quality with the release of this product.
