The news came of Abby Lee Miller quitting “Dance Moms” as the Pittsburg federal prosecutors want her to forfeit $120,000 Australian currency. The amount was allegedly brought by Abby in the country without declaring the money.
The “Dance Moms” star pleaded guilty to all the charges against her. However, there are still no statements released by her lawyers on her concealment of the $120,000 Australian currency.
The feds want Miller to forfeit the money by the time she’s sentenced on Jan. 20. The sentence is regarding her concealment of $775,000 income which she earned from Lifetime network. She also earned part of the amount during her spin-off projects, NBC reports.
Miller is allegedly quitting the show because she has to serve 24 to 30 months during the sentence. However, her lawyers argue that her sentence should only be probation to six months because her creditors didn’t lose money during the bankruptcy.
The as against the “Dance Moms” star emerged in 2015 when the federal prosecutors learned that Miller did not declare her income from 2012-2013. He hid her income by creating dummy back accounts registered under other people’s names.
Abby Lee Miller also falsely declared her monthly operating income. With this, she was able to restructure her debt for her favor, New York Daily News reports.
Also, the “Dance Moms” stars posted a cryptic post on Instagram. She captioned it “5 years of my life, seven season TV in 130 Countries - I did my best for Lifetime and gave my all to the production of Dance Moms!”
The post seemed to be a goodbye post to the show. Will the “Dance Mom” star quit to serve jail time?
“Dance Moms” Miller is not the only one who faced charges. Kelly Hyland has faced assault charges because she tugged Miller’s hair. The incident occurred in Season 4.
