Hideo Kojima is the creator of "The Metal Gear Solid" and he disclosed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is on the top of his list for games in 2017. He also revealed that for him this year was Virtual Reality. Meanwhile, his newest project 'Death Stranding' is also set to release next year.
He said that looking ahead for games his pick would have to be "Red Dead Redemption 2" according to Gamespot. Rockstar created "Red Dead Redemption 2" and Kojima has been a fan of its work since 2013. He was first impressed in "Grand Theft Auto V" but he was depressed about "Metal Gear Solid V".
He is thinking that his own project would not have the same impact with "Grand Theft Auto V". Rockstar's team will always be the best for Hideo Kojima. "Red Dead Redemption" is set to launch in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Rockstar did not reveal the specific game play of "Red Dead Redemption" yet.
"Blade Runner 2049" is also one of the most anticipated games in 2017 for Hideo Kojima. In the newest teaser video of the game, it features Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. Meanwhile, he said that 2016 for Hideo Kojima is about virtual reality. He said that 2016 was a year for virtual reality. It made a biggest impact after 120 years of having no changes in screen viewing. Virtual reality plays an important role in the entertainment, every day living, education, culture and many others in 2016.
The newest project of Kojima is "Death Stranding". It will be exclusively for PlayStation 4. The "Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus will portray as the protagonist while Mads Mikkelsen is taking the part as the villain. On the other hand, it is said that Guillermo del Toro will be playing a character which is not so popular. The three stars already signed a contract with Hideo Kojima. He further claimed that watching movies is his way to be inspired in making "Death Stranding" according to Gamerant. The game will be released in 2017.
