Figure Skating Enthusiasts Should Watch 'Yuri On Ice' Before Season 2 Premieres, Anime An Inspiration!

“Yuri on Ice” or “Yuri!!! On Ice,” for those who still doesn’t know anything about the anime, it's about a figure skater. The first season is composed of 12 episodes directed by Sayo Yamamoto.

It closely follows the life of Yuri Katsuki, an international figure skater. He lost in the Grand Prix Final and had not done any routine after his defeat. To cope with his depression, he went home to his hometown.

One night, Yuri decided to perform an original routine. Children in the rink took a video of “Yuri on Ice” and they uploaded it. Victor Nikiforov saw the video, and he flew to Japan to train Yuri for his last season.

However, it’ll become a triangle as Yurio, Victor’s other student, will find a way to train with Victor, again. The three characters are the central characters of the anime’s plot, Comic Book reports.

“Yuri on Ice” is a great anime considering that it has a beautiful animation that brings competitive figure skating in the anime map. Their routine isn’t just a plain routine as the viewers are also brought to the hopes and dreams of every character, making it a great inspiration to viewers sharing the same aspirations in life.

Though the three of them compete in the skating rink, they also cheer for one another after their routines. This is one of the reasons why “Yuri on Ice” is more than just a beautiful animated show The Verge reports.

The finale of season 1 is where Yuri announces that he’ll be retiring after winning silver in his latest performance. However, fans are sure that there is more to him than just a silver medal, and even Victor thinks the same.

There is still no announcement for “Yuri on Ice” Season 2, but fans are already anticipating it. What do you think will happen to Victor and Yuri now? Share your comments below.
