George Michael was not just a legendary musician as the 53-year-old was also the first ever guest of James Corden for his Carpool Karaoke segment. The musician was found dead in his bed by his partner.
Corden, the host of "The Late Late Show," dropped by Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show earlier this year and talked about how Carpool Karaoke became one of the most watched segments. He noted that it was inspired partly by the Comic Relief skit he did With George Michael. The video lasted for more than 13 minutes and have sung along to some of the greatest songs that the singer even released, Mashable reported. That skit for Comic Relief was aired in 2011 on BBC in the United Kingdom.
More on the death of Michael, Sky News reported that his partner was the one who discovered his death. The musician was found dead on Christmas day after his partner, Fadi Fawaz, arrived at his home to wake him up for the planned Christmas Day lunch.
Fawaz took to Twitter to talk about the incident and said that he will never stop missing his partner. He also said that they have been on the rocks since he discovered that he has been donating millions of his money to many charities. Those charities are said to be related to children, cancer patients, and AIDS sufferers. Although Michael lived a glamorous life, he is remembered for his kindness as he has volunteered at homeless shelters and gave a stranger money for IVF treatment after seeing that woman on "Deal or No Deal."
Fawaz continued to say that Michael was looking forward to Christmas and that his late partner was a beautiful person. Officials are treating the death of Michael was unexplained but not suspicious. The manager of Michael said that the musician might have died due to heart failure.
Before Fawaz and Michael became an item, Michael was with Kenny Goss. Goss released a statement about the death of his former partner saying that the musician was a dear friend and he was a major part of his life. Goss described Michael as a kind and generous man.
