‘Insidious’ & ‘Zombieland’ Are Some Of The Best Cult Movies Of Recent Years, Check Out Other Films In The List

Aside from bringing in huge profits, another measure of a film's success is the great impact it leaves to the viewers. Some movies successfully create such strong characters and compelling storylines, thus attracting a cult following. From year 2000 onwards, the films which emerge as cult movies include, "Zombieland," "The Sleeper," and "Insidious."

This list includes three action films with themes that involve revenge and violence. These are the 2009 films, "Ninja Assassin," a 2010 movie, "True Grit," and a 2008 flick, "Punisher: War Zone. Other action films in the list are "Inglourious Basterds" and "Rambo."


Apparently, horror flicks also attract a number of following as thriller movies such as "Insidious," "The Sleeper," "Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon," and "Zombieland" all make it to the list of best cult movies. Of course, drama and comedies always appeal to the general audience so the list also includes movies such as "Mamma Mia" which stars Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, "Napoleon Dynamite" starring Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, and Tina Majorino, and "Moonrise Kingdom" starring Bruce Willis, Jared Gilman, and Kara Hayward.

Meanwhile, a post from Amex Essentials listed the best cult movies of all time and it includes "The Blues Brothers," "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Pulp Fiction," and "Clueless." Other films on the list are "Amelie," "This is Spinal Tap," and "Reservoir Dogs."
