'Grand Theft Auto V Online’ Welcomes 2017 With A New Bike, New Mode And More!

"Grand Theft Auto V" has remained true to its promise of releasing new content for "GTA V Online," the online mode of Rockstar Games' epic game. The first multiplayer update for 2017 of "GTA V Online" has recently been released, which means that players will no longer be able to fling snowballs or grab free fireworks launcher by simply logging in.

Rockstar Games rolled out the last of the weekly sales and launched a new mode and a new bike. Included in the newly released update is the new bike, the Pegassi FCR 1000. Rockstar Newswire describes the Pegassi FCR 1000 as "An instant classic, this bike will be the envy of your grandpa, even if he did disown you."

Rockstar Games added a new adversary mode to "GTA V Online" aptly titled "Vehicle Vendetta." Not only does this new mode feature bombs, vehicle transformations, and rockets, but also it pays out double GTA$ and RP until Jan. 17. To put it simply, this new adversary mode is vehicle-focused wherein teams compete for power-ups that are spread across the map.

GameSpot details the power-ups included in the new Vehicle Vendetta mode in "GTA V Online." The first power-up is "Beast" that automatically transforms vehicles into a Rhino tank and then comes the "Detonator" that removes obstacles and objects from the arena. To destroy enemies trailing you, use the power-up "Bombs" by placing up to 3 bombs around the map. To incapacitate incoming drivers, use the "Rockets" power-up. To return your vehicle back to max health, use the "Repair."

Meanwhile, the "Ghost" turns the vehicle translucent, letting the player drive through vehicles without being detected and stealing enemy power-ups. "Jammed" forces the enemy vehicle's accelerator on. "Flipped" reverses the enemy team's steering, braking, and acceleration controls. "Zoned" slows down time for all the players and "Deadline" automatically turns your vehicle into a Nagasaki Shotaro complete with devastating light trail. Last is the "Random" that allows the player the chance to collect any power-up except for the "Detonator."

Also, participating in some "GTA Online" Stunt races allows the player to earn double GTA$ and RP. Plus, the Premium Race for this week is Racing Alley, paying out triple RP.

"GTA Online" also features massive discounts on select items starting Jan. 3 until Jan. 16. The Special Vehicle Warehouse Renovations & Special Cargo Warehouses, Engine Performance Upgrades, Body Armor, Ammo, Throwables, and Explosive Weapon Ammo, and all masks are at 25% off, whereas players will get 25% more GTA$ on Vehicle exports. Don't forget the 50% discount for the Grenade Launcher.
