‘Emerald City’ Season 1 Storylines Will Highlight Dorothy’s Tragedy In The Land Of Oz And The Men She Will Meet

Dorothy Gale's Adversities In The Land Of Oz Storyline. The official synopsis for "Emerald City" posted by Movie News Guide details that Dorothy Gale (played by Adria Arjona) and her dog got entangled in a storm on their way to meet her mother. The catastrophe brought her into the mysterious Land of Oz, where the governor of the land has prohibited the use of magic.

Furthermore, aside from the wrath of a large group of witches that the Land of Oz is currently facing, it is also about to encounter an imminent disaster created by a mythical force.

The trailer details that Dorothy is about to encounter the biggest tragedy in her life by killing the witch of the East (played by Florence Kasumba). Unfortunately, the murder was witnessed by the powerful ruler of Land of Oz (played by Vincent D'Onofrio) and he will task Eamonn (played by Mido Hamada) with a new mission as he is curious to know the factor that disturbed their lands.

Furthermore, the clip introduces the sisters of Witch East, namely Glinda (played by Joely Richardson) and West (played by Ana Ularu). The video also details that Dorothy will be attacked by Witch West as a revenge for killing the latter's sister.

Dorothy Gale's Love Life Storyline. The official promo video for "Emerald City" also reveals Dorothy has a love interest. Considering she will be very lonely being lost in the Land of Oz, the clip shows a man will eventually win her heart.

The clip previews there will be two men whom Dorothy will encounter in the Land of Oz. Dorothy will meet the young man (played by Gerran Howell) who will try to save his buddy (played by Jordan Loughran) from a mysterious lady (played by guest star Fiona Shaw), Movie News Guide reported.

Moreover, Dorothy will also meet an injured soldier who is also suffering from amnesia. The official Twitter account of the show revealed that this soldier with amnesia is named Lucas. The tweet also mentioned that although he has lost his memory, he remained sane and did not lose his mind.

"Emerald City" will premiere on Friday, Jan. 6 on NBC.
