'Girl Meets World' Cancellation Not Official Yet! Did The Writers Say Rider Strong Was Wrong To Say 'GMW' Has Ended?

A number of speculations have pointed to the possible cancellation of "Girl Meets World." Even "Boy Meets World" star Rider Strong (playing the role of Shawn Hunter) seems to believe that the "BMW" spinoff has ended. However, the writers of the show seem to fuel up the hopes for season 4 of "Girl Meets World" with their recent posts.

Rider Strong has stated through his podcast that "Girl Meets World" has already wrapped up. Strong said that they have already finished doing the third season, where he and his brother have directed several episodes. Rider Strong also mentioned that "the show ended," TVLine reported.

Following Strong's concluding statements, the writers of "GMW" took to their official Twitter account an encouraging message for the fans of the series. The tweet emphasized that Disney has not released any official word yet, suggesting fans to not give up their hopes for season 4 yet.

The writers also mentioned in the tweet that the announcement of season 4 is about to come out soon as Disney is yet to make a decision. Although the tweet also confirmed that season 3 will end in January, it did not say that the show will end too.

In another Twitter post, the writers expressed their gratitude to the fans of "GMW." The second tweet states that whatever decision Disney will make, they already thanked the fans should the Disney cancels the show, but if not, then the writers also promised to continue to do their best for the series.

Interestingly, the writers made a third tweet which seems to hint that Rider Strong's statement is wrong. The tweet vouched how much the writers love Shawn Hunter. However, they also emphasized that fans should take note that they have created Shawn Hunter to be "wrong a lot" of times.

Did the writers try to dismiss Strong's statement regarding the end of the series? Do you think "Girl Meets World" will continue for season 4?
