For players who love blowing things up and causing mayhem, they can now band together and cause more chaos as a team as "Just Cause 3" multiplayer mod has gone live. The multiplayer support is only available for PC, however, because technically it is not an official multiplayer, but a multiplayer mod.
The team behind the birth of the multiplayer mod of "Just Cause 3" is the same team that launched the multiplayer support for Grand "Mafia 3" and "Grand Theft Auto 4" and "Grand Theft Auto 5": Nanos team. However, let's clarify one simple data here.
Back in 2014, Nanos announced that they will create a multiplayer mod for "Just Cause 3," aptly called "JC3-MP." But the development ceased in July 2016 because the lead developer Cameron Foote was hired by Avalance Studios, the game developer, to work on their own unrelated project, a multiplayer mod for the game, as reported by PCGamer.
So, this recently launched mod, called "JC3:MP," is created by an entirely different team, according to GameRant. But the mod is still in its bet phase, and there are still bug fixes that need to be addressed.
To get access to the multiplayer support for "JC3," players can download it straight from just-cause.mp. Then, players should run the launcher. In case there are problems encountered, they can address this via the Nanos Community Forums. In terms of systems requirements, it is the same as that of the base game. Meanwhile, a Steam release will be available in soon.
The "JC3:MP" allows players to join the fray of other players on a single server to either play cooperatively or competitively. They can race, wander around, dive, or blow each other to smithereens. They all can destroy the world together with "state-of-the-art synchronization reducing lag to a minimum."
"Just Cause 3" can be played on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. But the multiplayer mod is available for PC. Check out the trailer of "Just Cause 3" below.
