The band Little Big Town is currently dropping news after news regarding their upcoming album, "The Breaker," but the band took some time off with their promotions about their new music. The band recently visited a high school choir to promote another thing — music education.
People reported the high school they visited was Wadsworth High School in Ohio but their high school choir was in Orlando for a Disney Performing Arts workshop. Little Big Band then went to surprise them after the kids learned about new techniques and record new music. The publication reported that the teens were taken to Disney's Saratoga Springs Performance Hall when a movie started playing showing the four members of the band.
Little Big Town is a five-time CMA Vocal Group of the Year and they said in the video that school music programs are important. After the video ended, the teens were surprised to see that the four members of the group, Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet, were there with them physically. Students reportedly felt emotional as some of them screamed at the top of their lungs while others cried.
Little Big Town then started to entertain questions from the teens regarding their experiences with music education and the importance of music in the lives of students. The question and answer lasted for 20 minutes and Fairchild said music education is important because it also develops children's creativity. She revealed a story from her past, saying a music teacher pushed her out on the stage and made her sing a solo, which she noted was life-changing because it gave her self-confidence.
Sweet also shared not everyone will make their living from music but music education teaches a lot of important lessons. Schlapman chimed in saying music education hits home. Westbrook also said music education is not optional and it needs to be given prioritization in schools.
As for the upcoming album of Little Big Town, Rolling Stone reported the songs that are part of "The Breaker" are "Happy People," "Night on Our Side," "Lost in California," "Free," "Drivin' Around," "We Went to the Beach," "Better Man," "Rollin'," "Don't Die Young, Don't Get Old," "Beat Up Bible,"
