Every day, frontline health staff are risking their lives to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. They are doing their best to stay healthy even though they expose themselves to the virus. Without expecting something in return, they would appreciate simple gestures from the people around them.
To honor the frontline healthcare workers amid the pandemic, the American Girl brand has its fair share. The doll brand announced on Monday that they have a #ThankYouHeroes initiative. Featuring a donation program, the toy company wants to recognize local heroes. It initiated a new contest and a new scrubs outfit for its dolls.

The $24 limited-edition outfit is available for preorders with a shipping date around August. The outfit includes a paint splatter print top, pink scrub pants. It also includes slip-on shoes and a face mask.
American Girl will donate to the "First Responders Children's Foundation." Every scrubs outfit sold equates to one doll craft activity book. Their limit is up to total retail of $135,000. The foundation supports children of first responders who are working to fight the coronavirus.

The toy brand will have a "Heroes with Heart" contest. Its goal is to honor the health crisis's essential workers. Through June 26, you could propose anyone from the nurses to the grocery employees. All you have to do is submit a photo and add their description with at least 250 words. Write about their occupation and how they have helped your community.
