It's natural for the toddlers to feel anxious when their parents or guardians say goodbye. Although it's difficult for both parents and their young children, but separation anxiety is part of the development for the kids. Nevertheless, there are some effective techniques you can use to make the process easier. And here are some of it:

Practice separation.

Leave your toddler with your most trusted caregiver for brief periods. Your baby will normally protest, but he or she might adjust easily to your absence if you will continue on doing it.

But always remember to say goodbye or kiss your toddler before leaving. This will give them an assurance that you will return to them. Eventually, they can get used to the separation process.

Leave your child with a comfort object.

Many experts suggest that comforting objects such as toys or something of yours like a scarf can comfort a child in the absence of parents. However, don't be surprised if your child will throw it on the floor as you leave, especially on the first few days of your training.

Help your child understand what's happening.

It will help your child to cope with the process if you reassure your little one by explaining what fun he or she will have within the day. For instance, "I will leave you with Ana. Then, mama will leave for work, I will kiss you goodbye and you will wave goodbye from the window. Then while mama's gone, you will play with Ana and dance to the music. Then, you will have a snack and I will be back after you eat to pick you up. Okay? Momma will be back right away."

Then leave right away. It may take weeks for your child to cope with the process but don't give in and grab your crying toddler. Just continue with it and show your kid that things are just fine.

Separation anxiety can actually be relieved but if it is persistent, your child might need to see a professional.
