"Person of Interest" Season 5 updates reveal that many fans are expressing their growing concerns over the show's future. Reports claim that the show is headed for the chopping block, especially with the reduced number of episode counts this season and the delay in the release date of the upcoming season.
Crossmap reported that it was initially believed that the "Person of Interest" Season 5 release date will be in December, but CBS announced its lineup without "POI" in it. CBS president Glenn Geller recently confirmed that the show will be released this spring, but fans are now anxiously waiting for a specific release date.
Fans have also raised an ongoing petition online in hopes of finding a new home for "POI" to continue its story. According to the publication, the petitions aims to attract networks such as Netflix, NBC or Hulu to pick up the series if CBS chooses to cancel the show.
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Yahoo! TV, Jim Caviezel revealed that Reese will continue to struggle in "Person of Interest" Season 5. Caviezel admitted that his character will be having a hard time starting anew with Iris after losing Carter.
"You go back to Jessica: the possibility that he could have a real relationship - a second one. With Carter, he missed it and there's a great fear there," he said.
Michael Emerson also shared that Finch will also share the same struggles. Finch has always tried to draw the line in order to keep himself distant from the Machine. Unfortunately, Finch will realize that he has become emotionally tied to the Machine after hearing it speak to him.
