'Suicide Squad' News & Update: Hint On Scott Eastwood's Character Not In Comics; Who Is He?

"Suicide Squad" may be released in less than a month but Warner Brothers Pictures and the movie's producers are still mum as to who Scott Eastwood will be in the potential franchise. Rumors abound that Eastwood, son of Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, can be Dick Grayson though that has not been confirmed as even in the concept art found on the "Suicide Squad" set, his character is only named "GQ."

According to Comic Book, when asked about what Eastwood's role would mean to "Suicide Squad," producer Richard Suckle said that he is an "important" character and that he would be working with Colonel Flag in the mission.

He also revealed that producers were initially hesitant about including the character in the first "Suicide Squad" movie. "His character was sort of existing, then it wasn't going to exist in the movie, and David [Ayer] wanted to bring him back," Suckle said. "It kind of went through a back and forth and Scott just kind of naturally found a place and he had a pre-existing working relationship."

There is also a possibility that Eastwood's role in "Suicide Squad" would portray an original character that is not from the comic books as producer Andy Horwitz also said that fan theories circulating are not correct.

In other news, according to Entertainment Weekly, Viola Davis has confessed that it was "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer who helped her portray the character Amanda Waller as cunning as possible, comparing him to a combination of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and Cecil DeMille. She also said that she liked playing the character. "She's a strategist," Davis said. "She's a manipulator. She doesn't fly in the sky or swim in the water. She's just a regular person who can manipulate these superheroes."

"Suicide Squad" also stars Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Ike Barinholtz.

"Suicide Squad" will be shown in theaters starting August 5.
