In "General Hospital," Nikolas Cassadine has been shot and early details suggested that he might be dead from that incident. This raises the question on whether Tyler Christopher is ever returning now that the daytime soap might have killed off the character.
GH Killing Off Legacy Role Of Nikolas Cassadine
This week on "General Hospital," Nik Cassadine was shot by Valentin Cassedine and fell off the balcony in a "sheer drop," which could have killed him. But new spoilers from Celeb Dirty Laundry reveal that he will survive that fall and it was just a strategy so the character could switch from Nick Stabile to Tyler Christopher. But is Tyler really coming back?
When Will Tyler Christopher Return To GH?
According to Soaps.com, Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that Nick Stabile's stint as Nik is done. However, there is no confirmation yet as to when Tyler Christopher will reclaim his role on "General Hospital." Tyler took a break to have some personal time after a long, complicated contract negotiations with the soap's management, which remains unclear up to now on whether they have reached an agreement.
The management is rather quiet about it, and even Tyler Christopher, who's been active recently on Twitter, hasn't mentioned anything about his "General Hospital" character. His latest posts were only to promote GH fan activities. Meanwhile, fans hope the show is not killing off a legacy character and they are excited to see Tyler back.
In other related GH casting news, Jeffrey Vincent Parise is back in Port Charles, Soap Opera Digest reported. This time, he is Joe, the twin brother of Carlos. "Obviously, we are very fond of the actor," said GH Co-Head Writer Shelly Altman. Co-Head Writer Jean Passanante added, "It's fun to see a different side of this actor and to give the audience a chance to see him do something completely different."
"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays on ABC at 2 p.m.
