Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are celebrating their eighth year anniversary as a married couple despite the countless divorce rumors about them. In a recent interview, the "Finding Dory" star opens up about a dark phase in her life and how her ex-girlfriend pushed her to the limits.
Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have been plagued by countless divorce rumors ever since. While the couple remains mum about the speculations, DeGeneres and de Rossi have always shown that they are strong as ever.
As a matter of fact, Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are celebrating their 8th anniversary in spite of several rumors claiming that their marriage was coming to an end. According to Entertainment Tonight, the 58-year-old talk show host recently gushed about her wife in a post on social media.
The publication notes that the "Ellen Show" host also said during an interview that she and de Rossi are flattered over the divorce rumors about them. DeGeneres admitted that their relationship might seem boring to others because they do not breakup even when times get tough.
Meanwhile, DeGeneres also opened up to Telegraph that she went through such a difficult time in her life after admitting to the public that she is gay. DeGeneres also said that her ex-girlfriend, Anne Heche, pushed her to move out of her comfort zone and be more open about her sexual preference.
"So maybe that's a good thing, because she pushed me to be comfortable," she stated.
DeGeneres also admitted that "Finding Nemo" and "Finding Dory" saved her from depression because the offer to work on the first movie came at the right time. DeGeneres said that she lost numerous offers after coming out, but the director offered her to do a voice over for the role just when she thought she was losing it all.
