‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23: Ryan Lochte Joins Cast? Derek and Julianne Hough Return

The full cast of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 23 will be officially announced on Tuesday, Aug. 30. But recent news revealed that Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is joining the dancing reality series. To add more to that siblings Derek Hough and Julianne Hough will be returning.

The 12-time Olympic medalist, Ryan Lochte, is going to show his other talent in the "Dancing With The Stars" this coming season. According to USA TODAY, Lochte has made the deal even before the 2016 Rio Olympic in Rio de Janeiro started. Lochte has been involved in an incident in Brazil where he and his three teammates "were held at gunpoint by men with badges." The case was later ruled as a case of vandalism, which turned out to be false.

Meanwhile, Derek and Julianne Hough are coming back in "Dancing With The Stars" Season 23. Julianne will return to the judging panel. She was a professional dancer on the show from Season 4 to 8 and then became a judge from Seasons 9 to 21. Derek has been on the show for 16 seasons as a professional dancer. In Season 21, he got his sixth Mirror Ball trophy with Bindi Irwin.

ET Online sources also reported that Maureen McCormick ("Brady Bunch") and singer-songwriter Kenneth Edmonds are joining the competition. Other stars who will vie for the Mirror Ball trophy in DWTS Season 23 include Terra Jole ("Little Women"), Emma Samms ("General Hospital"), Jake T. Austin ("Wizards of Waverly Place"), and model Amber Rose. Reports said that Beverly Mitchell ("7th Heaven") is still in the negotiation process to join the reality series.

ABC will reveal the full cast of the new DWTS season on Aug. 30 on "Good Morning America." "Dancing With The Stars" Season 23 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
