Good news, "DWTS" fans! The long wait is finally over and the official cast list for "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 has been finally revealed. During the cast reveal on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, the network officially announced the 13 pairs of celebrity and professional dancers who will vie for this season's mirrorball trophy.
It has been previously reported and rumors have strongly suggested the participation of 2016 Rio Olympic gold medalists Laurie Hernandez and Ryan Lochte in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23. During a live appearance on "Good Morning America" this Tuesday morning, their participation has been officially confirmed.
According to ABC News, Hernandez will be dancing with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23. Lochte, on the other hand, was paired with returning fan favorite pro dancer Cheryl Burke.
In addition, "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 will also showcase the dancing prowess of several interesting personalities in the field of politics, entertainment and sports. These include model-turned-TV host and Wiz Khalifa's baby mama Amber Rose, who is with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and ex-Republican presidential nominee and past governor of Texas Rick Perry, who will be dancing with pro dancer Emma Slater, People noted.
Other "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 pairs were "Taxi" actress Marilu Henner and Derek Hough, "Brady Bunch" star Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev and singer-songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Witney Carson. Also joining ABC's hit reality dance competition were "Little Women LA" star Terra Jolé and Sasha Farber, "Wizard of Waverly Place" actor Jake T. Austin and Jenna Johnson, ex-Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold, car racer James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess and lastly, country songstress Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko, E! News revealed.
As for "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 judges, two-time mirrorball champ, professional dancer and Derek Hough's sister Julianne Hough is reportedly reprising her role as one of the judges. According to Us Weekly, Julianne is returning on the "DWTS" judges' table after skipping the competition last season.
