‘Days of Our Lives’ Cast & Spoilers: Jen Lilley Changes Mind About Leaving DOOL; Hints About Theresa’s Return?

It has been earlier confirmed that Jen Lilley is leaving "Days of Our Lives" for a personal reason, that being her needing a break from the demanding time with DAYS. But has she changed her mind?

While it has been reported that the actress has finished filming her last days on Salem, Jen Lilley, who plays Theresa Donovan in "Days of Our Lives," recently posted a photo with friend and co-star Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne), which sparked rumors that she might not be gone from DOOL that long. Lilley tweeted a photo of herself with Meredith and wrote, "Running lines with @MeredithSLynn! What?! #days #anneresa #coffee #latenight #shenanigans ;)."

This is just a possibility as of now, and it could just be that Jen Lilley was just teasing fans. Her Twitter posts prior to that tweet revealed that she was having a dinner with Meredith Scott. So it could be that she was just helping her friend with her lines.

For now, what has been confirmed is that Theresa will be out of the canvas by November or December. There are no details yet as to how her exit would be, so a lot of speculations have emerged. One of which is the possibility of her character being killed off.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, spoilers tease that the sendoff for Theresa will be a tearjerker. But since Jen Lilley's decision to leave the daytime soap was mainly because she wants some time off to pursue other opportunities, the doors of "Days of Our Lives" are set to remain open for her. Hence, killing the character would not be a good one to write her off for now.

CDL suggests that the plot may still involve a death of a character, probably Tate. That would really be heartbreaking for Theresa, and her grieving would make sense as a reason for her absence.

Meanwhile, Parent Herald has earlier learned that Jen Lilley is pursuing a career in writing, specifically children's books.

You can catch "Days of Our Lives" from Mondays to Fridays on NBC at 1 p.m.
