‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On:' Jessa Duggar, Ben Seewald Expecting Triplets? Will Proceed With Adoption Plans?

Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar have been blessed by the ability to procreate a number of children, 19 to be exact. The next-generation Duggars, their children, have started having their own children too, and many may expect that they would follow their parents. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald has a 9-month-old Spurgeon, and are currently expecting a baby, or babies, but it doesn't stop there. They are adopting.

Jessa Duggar, who has the largest number of followers on social media, has recent posts that sparked speculations that she might be carrying more than one baby. In their pregnancy announcement photos, it was indicated "Doubling the Love Feb 2017" and she also wrote in her blog, that they are "expecting a baby or babies!" It is in their genes anyway as her mother, Michelle Duggar, gave birth to twins twice in over a period of 21 years.

Before the Jessa and Ben announced the pregnancy, in time for the second season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," they first revealed their plans to adopt. Back in May, the couple told Us Weekly that they are proceeding with the paper works and a home study.

"We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption," Jessa told the magazine. "There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in."

Even before they got married in 2014, the two have talked about the possibility of adopting. It was put on hold when Jessa became pregnant with Spurgeon. And now, even with the new baby or babies coming in, they don't want to delay it any further. Like her parents, Jessa and Ben would love to have a huge family.

"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" airs every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on TLC.
