Fans who have already finished the eight episodes of Netflix's hit summer series are itching to know more details about "Stranger Things" season 2. Probably one of the main concerns for audiences involves Eleven's return- will the unlikely heroine reprise her role in the upcoming run?
As fans already know, the first season ended with questions about Eleven's fate. Did she die when she seemingly disintegrated along with the monster from the Upside Down? Did she manage to telepathically travel to the Upside Down, where she is now trapped? Several "Stranger Things" season 2 Eleven theories seem to suggest a lot of possible plots for her return.
Just recently, the titles for the upcoming episodes of "Stranger Things" season 2 have been revealed. And while they hint at some possible scenarios that could happen, not one title suggests Eleven's return. However, as Digital Spy reported, the second episode of the upcoming run entitled "The Boy Who Came Back to Life" could either be about Will or Eleven's return.
Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing Eleven return next season, but not a lot agree that bringing her back to "Stranger Things" season 2 could be the best idea. According to an article published by Inverse, Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven is expendable. Should the Duffer Brothers decide to have "disruptive sequels," the site suggested that they should just let the character go.
Of course, there is a greater chance that "Stranger Things" season 2 will bring Eleven back. Her disappearance in the first season only suggests that more questions will be answered in the upcoming run, and her return- physically or not- will definitely be tackled.
