NBA Trade Rumors: Rudy Gay Leaving Sacramento Kings For Houston Rockets? Kings Acquiring Ersan Ilyasova, Mitch McGary

New trade rumors are circulating about Sacramento Kings player Rudy Gay as he is reportedly moving to Houston Rockets or Oklahoma City Thunder. If he moves to OKC, it has been reported that Sacramento Kings will be asking for Ersan Ilyasova and Mitch McGary in exchange for Gay.

According to the latest reports, Kevin Durant leaving Oklahoma City Thunder has made the team want to look for a great player to fill the spot. They reportedly are looking to acquire Gay, the 30-year-old forward. He is not as great as Durant but he is a great scorer and could work alongside Russell Westbrook, Sportsrageous reported. In the past season, Gay averages 17.2 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Sacramento Kings reportedly have been trying to trade Gay during this year's offseason but they are having a difficult time finding a trade partner because the expensive contract of the player. His contract is valid until next NBA season.

Although Westbrook could play well for Oklahoma City Thunder, he cannot carry the load alone that is why Gay would be a great addition to the team. Thunder general manager Sam Presti also believes that Oklahoma City Thunder will be a playoff contender next season and acquiring Gay would probably improve their chances against the best teams in the Western Conference.

Another team that Gay might be traded to is said to be Houston Rockets. However, the issue being brought up again is his expensive contract. Other teams who are being linked to Gay are Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves, FX News Call reported.

Another player from Sacramento Kings rumored to be leaving this offseason and transferring to another team is DeMarcus Cousins. He has been linked to Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Chicago Bulls. He also was recently linked to Toronto Raptors but there have been no confirmations in the rumors.
