‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Date, Rumors, Latest Updates: ‘RDR’ Sequel Coming In November? New ‘Retribution’ Flyer Fake?!

Diehard "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans were going crazy when a "Red Dead Retribution" poster widely circulated on social media on Tuesday. What was more interesting was the fact that the poster seemed to have hinted the game's sequel release date on November 18.

The latest "Red Dead Redemption 2" poster came after the release of several reports claiming that Rockstar Games will unveil the long overdue "RDR" sequel at the Sony PS4 Neo event on Sept. 7 in New York. Even though many believed that Rockstar's possible appearance at the said event would have something to do with "RDR" remaster following its backwards compatibility on Xbox One, some avid fans can't help but speculate that it could be "RDR 2," VG24/7 reported.

As for the "Red Dead Redemption 2" poster, VG24/7 gave an update that the "Red Dead Retribution" flyer was not legit and was only a fan project from someone. Based on the information found on Imgur, the flyer was part of the gift box sent to Rockstar Games as a way to mock-up an "RDR" sequel.

As mentioned earlier, there were rumors suggesting that "Red Dead Redemption" will have a remastered version for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. According to SegmentNext, the "RDR" remastered was quite "odd" as the game was just made backwards compatible for Xbox One.

Meanwhile, "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans are still not giving up their hopes that the game sequel will be released soon. After the frustrations at the E3 2016 event, fans were again disappointed that Rockstar Games didn't unveil the game sequel at the recent Gamescom 2016 event.

Despite the earlier disappointments, fans remain hopeful for a "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal at the PlayStation Meeting, which will launch the PS4 Neo. Although Rockstar Games has yet to comment or confirm the reports, "RDR 2" details have also widely circulated.

As Parent Herald previously reported, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature the same map as its predecessor but with additional playable areas and land mass. As for its storyline, the game sequel will reportedly introduce a Zombie-inspired adventure, as well as two new protagonists and will be launched in the fall of 2017.
