DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay are reportedly joining Cleveland Cavaliers and for Sacramento Kings to let go of two of their best players, they would be demanding for great players as well. Accordingly, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson are being offered by Cleveland Cavaliers.
The trade rumors concerning Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be the talk of the town as they reportedly want to improve their rosters after Golden State Warriors signed Kevin Durant during this year's offseason. Durant joining Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson reportedly raised red flags for the Cleveland Cavaliers as his addition to Golden State Warriors threatened the NBA team's chance for a second championship for the NBA 2016-2017 season.
As for Sacramento Kings, acquiring Love and Thompson would help them move forward from their not so successful 2015-2016 season if they would be willing to give up Gay and Cousins, Inquisitr reported. Cousins has been the subject of many NBA trade rumors and it was amplified after he showed off his playing skills at this year's Olympics in Rio. Many fans speculated that Cousins would be a good fit with the Cleveland Cavaliers and play alongside LeBron James as compared to Love.
However, Cousins' attitude towards the coaches who handled Sacramento Kings and his openness when it comes to his comments against the NBA team's roster has become a problem since he causes problems to his teammates and the management, The Sports Daily reported. As for Gay possibly moving to the Cleveland Cavaliers with Cousins, he is in the same situation with Love since he also is not fit with Sacramento Kings.
If the trade would continue, Cleveland Cavaliers would benefit very much with the addition of Gay and Cousins. Cousins will play much better than Thompson while Gay would also play more often than he did in Sacramento Kings especially if Cleveland Cavaliers will not succeed in re-signing J.R. Smith. Sacramento Kings would also benefit greatly from this trade as Love would play alongside Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos. Thompson could also assist Love and the other main players for Sacramento Kings.
The teams and the players involved in this report are yet to comment.
