"Blindspot" Season 2 will air in its new schedule Wednesday, Sept. 21. The time shift will have the show at 8:00 p.m. instead of the usual 10:00 p.m. slot Meanwhile, executive producer Martin Gero hints on more details about the mole in the FBI, which became a fact in the premiere episode last week. However, the person's identity won't be divulged for a while in the season just yet.
The time shift on "Blindspot" was made known back in the summer, per Parent Herald. Martin Gero has assured viewers that not much will change except perhaps that the show gets more into soft comedy. The action and mystery will still keep "Blindspot's" identity on track, despite the more family-friendly time schedule and especially now that it has been revealed there's a mole in the FBI.
In fact, Martin Gero teased that the second episode to "Blindspot" Season 2 will feature a big opening scene that involves a flashback with Jane and the Orion. "[It's] one of the biggest things we've ever done, and it's very exciting and really clarifies Jane's role in Orion," said the executive producer, via Entertainment Weekly.
Martin Gero also hints that the mole won't reach out right away on "Blindspot" Season 2. "The mole though has to be very careful about when it talks to Sandstorm because everyone is under such close scrutiny," the EP stated. Even Nas, who is played by Archie Panjabi, is a likely suspect as the mole. The one thing Gero can assure viewers about Nas is that she is indeed from the NSA.
Meanwhile, "Blindspot" has added Jonathan Patrick Moore in a recurring role as Oliver Kind, per TV Series Finale. He becomes Jane's friend, but it is unclear if the character has any motives against Jane or her team.
