Mr. President is the game that goes just right with the election season as it involves you playing the bodyguard (named Dick Johnson) of a President (named Ronald Rump) in an attempt to save him from assassination. The gameplay is relatively simple as it just involves the laws of natural physics to try to find the perfect timing and angle to save the President from the bullet that comes.
There are over 50 levels of the game, and PC Gamer reports that each level gets much more difficult and that the physics becomes buggy and very unpredictable causing the player to repeat the scenario over and over again just because of a single mistake. Each level also puts the player in different circumstances and in different scenes you may not expect.
There are different ways of saving the President. You can both push the President away and have a dancing session afterward, or you can opt to get in the way and take the bullet yourself; either way, you just have to have perfect timing.
Mr. President has become widely popular as a play on Republican candidate Donald Trump, and this satirical game brings about the laughs for everyone who wants to enjoy a mockery. With a polarizing personality, Donald Trump has definitely inspired people to push for games like these.
Election season has definitely got the people worked up from the statements of Trump to him being an actual legitimate contender of winning the US presidency. In this case, Ronald Rump becomes a better substitute for the people to indulge themselves into.
For people who want to play the game, it is only available on the PC platform so far. You can download the game on Steam, and if you still don't want to buy it, just know that a portion of the proceeds actually goes to a charity.
