"Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been confirmed to release in spring 2017. The storyline is expected to revolve around Eren Yeager and the Survey Corps' discovery that their enemy Titans are lurking within their team.
The next season of "Attack on Titan" animated series is believed to take on the fifth story arc of the original manga Clash of Titans where the real identity of Colossus Titan and Armored Titan will be uncovered. Another Titan within the Survey Corps will also be identified.
In a recent report from The Asahi Shimbun, a new "Attack on Titan" Season 2 image poster has been revealed showing Colossus Titan and Armored Titan with Eren in his Titan form. This further stirred speculations that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will pick up with the next chapter of the manga series where Beast Titan will arrive causing Ymir to reveal his true form.
Beast Titan is considered to be the main antagonist from the "Attack on Titan" manga. As the manga progressed, it was revealed that Ymir, a good friend of Krista Lenz, is also a Titan and transformed into her Titan form to fight with the Beast Titan. It is not clear whether Ymir is a friend or a foe but she will be helping the Titans to capture Eren.
Additionally, Colossus Titan and Armored Titan are also members of the Survey Corps on "Attack on Titan" manga. Reiner Braun revealed himself to be the Armored Titan while Bertolt Hoover is the Colossus Titan. Both of them are working for the Beast Titan and their mission is to take Eren to him.
It is important to note, however, that this is how the manga story goes but it does not mean that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will take the story as it is. There could be some twists in the upcoming animated series to make the show more interesting.
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is also expected to be filled with battles between Survey Corps soldiers and the Titans, JBHNews reported. Some soldiers are also suggested to die, including Hannes. Watch the English dubbed version of "Attack on Titan" Season 1 finale below.
