NBA season wouldn't be fun without the rivalry between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. In fact, forecast for the 2016-2017 NBA season has been divulged by the general managers (GM) of the league.
Even though the regular NBA season has not yet begun, Bleacher Report feels that the third consecutive meeting between the Cavaliers and Warriors is like a fait accompli. Odds Shark noted that both the Cavaliers and Warriors are heavy favorites in their respective conferences, with Warriors sporting 5-13 odds to win the West and Cavaliers at 20-37 to win the East.
According to NBA news, a huge factor in the NBA GM forecast was the addition of Kevin Durant to the Warriors. Even though the Warriors won 73 games without him, the league's GM survey result reported that Durant's move to Golden State was the most impactful transaction of the summer.
The Golden State Warriors will win the 2016-2017 NBA season by 69.0 % while the Cleveland Cavaliers by 31.0 % as forecasted by the NBA GM. As regards NBA team rankings in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland Cavaliers will take the first rank, followed by Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Chicago Bulls.
On the other hand, the Western Conference rank will be led by the Golden State Warriors followed by San Antonio Spurs, LA Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks.
Now, LeBron James will still be the MVP according to the GM forecast. His rating is 46.7%, which is higher compared with last year's 39.9%. James will be followed by Russell WestBrook at 23.3%.
