'Beauty And The Beast' Live-Action News & Update: Emma Watson Disney Film Has Unexpected Twists, Josh Gad & Ewan McGregor Talk Details

While the live-action version of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is expected to follow the 1991 animated movie, it will also have some new scenes and music to set it apart. Josh Gad, who plays LeFou in the movie, stated that the live-action take evolves off its source material.

Meanwhile, Ewan McGregor, who plays Lumiere, also dished about what moviegoers can expect from "Beauty and the Beast." The film starring Emma Watson as Belle is going to be in theaters March 27, 2017.

Josh Gad told Entertainment Tonight that the "Beauty and the Beast" live-action will be going "further into the trenches in terms of the mythology and in terms of the characters." Fans can expect a movie that will get quite emotional.

Revelist notes that there's also another version of "Beauty and the Beast" that many regard as the original. In it, Belle and Beast's love story develops from something deeper. It involves heartaches, rejection and near-deaths, which is perhaps what Josh Gad is alluding to.

Josh Gad also said that "Beauty and the Beast" will have new music to complement the old and familiar songs from the animated film. Fans are expected to be blown away by what they will watch when the movie hits theaters.

Meanwhile, Ewan McGregor expressed that he had a difficult time filming "Beauty and the Beast" because of his "dreadful" French accent. "I sort of did this this Mexican candelabra," he told Kelly Ripa, per WBT. The actor also confirmed that his character is pretty much CGI for most of "Beauty and the Beast." But he eventually appears as the human version in the end, just like in the animated film.
