Actor Jason Dohring is heading to "iZombie" Season 3. Cast as Chase Graves, the brother-in-law of last season's villain Vivian Graves (Andrea Savage), it is not yet known if his character will be on Team Liv or Team Vivian.
Jason Dohring has been known to play the vulnerable villain and victim effectively. When he was working on "Veronica Mars," he made Logan Echolls such a compelling character. "iZombie" executive producer Rob Thomas said that he wanted to bring that kind of vibe to his current show, so he called up Jason Dohring to come work for him again.
TV Line reports that the character of Chase Graves will be a recurring one. His first appearance on "iZombie" Season 3 will be in the eighth episode, when the show explores the dynamics of Fillmore Graves, Vivian's company.
Fans might recall that Vivian has a desire to turn the city into some sort of a zombie hub on "iZombie." Whether Chase sticks with his family and grow their business interest is still unclear. It's also unclear what kind of relationship he has with his sister-in-law, so it is possible he could be siding with Liv against Vivian's zombie mutiny. What is certain is that he will not be Liv's love interest.
Jason Dohring is not the first "Veronica Mars" alum to be in "iZombie." Vulture reveals that Ryan Hansen, Percy Daggs III, Daran Norris and Adam Rose have been in the zombie series as well. Enrico Calantoni also guest starred in "iZombie" last season, as Entertainment Weekly reports. Meanwhile, the star of "Veronica Mars" herself lent her voice in a special "iZombie" episode, as E! Online reports.
Created by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero, "iZombie" also stars Robert Buckley, Rahul Kohli, David Anders and Malcolm Goodwin. The show is expected to be back on The CW for the midseason run, which kicks off in January. "iZombie" Season 3 has a confirmed 13 episodes. Check back for more news about this series on this site.
