Orphan Black’ Season 5 Spoilers & Premiere Date: Final Season Cast, 170-Year-Old Neolution Founder Revealed; Manic Helena In Sneak Peek

Returning and cast members for "Orphan Black" Season 5, the BBC America series' final season, were recently confirmed. A new sneak peek at production on Season 5's first episode was also shown via Facebook Live.

The "Orphan Black" Facebook page streamed around 20 minutes of live production of Season 5's premiere episode this week. In the clip, Emmy Award-winner Tatiana Maslany was seen in character as the manic Helena, ambling through the woods with a rabbit in her mouth and acting out bird calls.

Watch the video below. Episode one of "Orphan Black" Season 5 is being filmed on location in Canada, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"Orphan Black" co-creator Graeme Manson also shared a Twitter snapshot of Maslany filming episode one as Helena alongside Kristian Bruun, who portrays Donnie. Check out the photo below.

The "Orphan Black" Facebook page revealed returning cast members for Season 5 aside lead star Maslany and Bruun. The "Orphan Black" Season 5 roster includes Jordan Gavaris (Felix), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Mrs. S), Kevin Hanchard (Art), Ari Millen (Ira), Josh Vokey (Scott), Skyler Wexler (Kira), James Frain (Ferdinand), Evelyne Brochu (Delphine), and Calwyn Shurgold (Hell Wizard).

New "Orphan Black" Season 5 cast members include Elyse Levesque as the dirty Neolution officer Detective Engers, Andrew Moodie as Rachel's consultant Mr. Frontenac, Simu Liu as Kira's schoolteacher Mr. Mitchell, Jenessa Grant as the eclectic islander Mud, and Stephen McHattie as P.T. Westmoreland, the "mythical 170-year-old founder of Neolution," the "Orphan Black" Facebook page wrote.

"Orphan Black's" final year comes with mixed feelings for the show's whole crew. Producers said that they are "incredibly proud of 'Orphan Black' and what it's come to mean to all those involved and, especially, the fans," ScreenCrush reported. They also praised the series' "wonderfully talented writers, producers, cast and crew" and thanked them for being "so dedicated to bringing to life such engaging and compelling characters and storylines."

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last June, Graeme said that there have been "some loose talk" of "Orphan Black" spinoffs but he "can't say where it's at right now." He admitted that they want to do a movie but that's unlikely for now. Currently, they are focused on making Season 5.

"Orphan Black" will likely premiere around spring 2017. Are you excited for Season 5? What do you think is in store for the Clone Club? Share your thoughts below.
