2017 looks like a promising year for Sony as they have already registered with the Russian Regulatory Board two phones, with internal numbers namely: Sony Xperia G3121 and G3112. This doesn't really tell us much, except it was said to be mid-range or even low-end devices. Sony is known to produce quality phones that seem like the underdog in the mobile industry. With a low price tag, but great specs, there is a lot to expect from Sony Xperia series.
Xperia is the brand of the smartphones and tablets released under Sony mobile. Derived from the word "experience", this line came out in 2008 with the X1 as the first smartphone to be released under its helm. Sony Xperia was known globally before as Sony Ericsson before its re-branding in 2012.
The Xperia E4 a while back had a number of G2104. Sony's internal numbers are not consistent. The new phones, whose names are yet to be revealed, may be closer to the Xperia XA instead, aka "F311x".
Tech savvies will have to look out for what Sony may have in store. The Xperia series is known for quality cameras and HD displays. Not to mention that it is cheaper than most of the competing phones out on the market. No news about the Xperias yet, but secrets will be revealed soon as big events like CES and MWC will soon showcase these smartphones.
There is still a lot of speculation though as to how Sony's Xperia G3112 And G3121 will look like, or the feel of it, or what features that will surpass its competitor phones, but we have yet to wait and see how things will look out for the Xperia. Of course, as more regulators get involved, some of them are nice enough to list the specifications and post photos of the phones they certify.
It is rumored that Sony is set to release the new handsets at The Mobile World Congress (MWC), which will take place in Barcelona on February 2017. The MWC event is the stage where Sony usually unveils new products.
More information will certainly come out eventually so stay tuned to Parent Herald for the latest update on Sony's Xperia G3112 And G3121 release and specs.
