Kensington Releases Photo For Prince George's 2nd Birthday Celebration Details Here!

A day before Prince George celebrates his second birthday, Kensington Palace released an official photo of the adorable prince with his father, Prince William.

Taken at the gardens of the Queen's Sandringham House by official photographer, Mario Testino, during Princess Charlotte's christening a few weeks ago, the photo showed the young prince with a big smile on his face as he looked at the camera. He was being carried by his father.

"This photograph captures a very happy moment on what was a special day for the duke and duchess and their family," said the palace's spokesperson, according to BBC. "They are very pleased to share this picture as they celebrate Prince George's second birthday."

The toddler, dubbed "little monkey" by his dad, is said to have already started talking, according to People Magazine and had been "chatting away" among friends and family during the princess' baptism.

In Twitter and Instagram Kensington Palace shared the photo to its followers and captioned this with, "Look who's turning two tomorrow! #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge"

Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton, intend to give George a "low-key" birthday celebration on July 22, according to Hello Magazine.

They will be spending it at their backyard in Anmer Hall, their house in Norfolk, and Kate is reportedly doing most of the preparations herself. But as the duchess' mother, Carole Middleton, manages a party planning business, it is expected that the elder Middleton will be helping out in the planning and celebration as well.

However, while family members are expected to attend the party (Kate's father, Michael, and siblings James and Pippa, as well as the Queen, who will be the guest of honor like last year), Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are not going to be at George's birthday. Hello Magazine reports that the grandparents are in the West Country for an official visit, but they will be spending time with the birthday boy, including his sister, Princess Charlotte, at the week's end.

Prince Harry, Prince William's brother, is still on his mission in Africa and like the christening of Princess Charlotte, he will be missing Prince George's birthday. He is expected to return to London after his three-month stint.

After this week's birthday party, the duke and duchess are heading to Portsmouth for a royal engagement. It will be their first official engagement together after tending to their kids' events these past few weeks, according to People.
