"Dragon Quest VIII" for the DS finally got a launch date. "Dragon Quest VII" and "Dragon Quest VIII" were announced last year by Nintendo last November 2015.
"Dragon Quest VIII" for the Nintendo 3DS will have new scenarios, Street Pass functionality, and extra voice acting, according to an article by Gamespot last May 13,2015. The article also stated that both "Dragon Quest VII" and "Dragon Quest VIII" are already out in Japan during the time of the announcement.
Nintendo also confirmed and announced the "Dragon Quest VIII" new features like "Quick Save" that allows players to leave the game whenever they want and the "Speed Up" feature that allows players to cut their way through each encounter. Players will also have the capability when not in battle or cut-scenes to pause the game and take a screenshot of the experience. These photos are going to be customizable wherein the player can add stickers and special poses.
"Dragon Quest VIII" has been a big hit in the Playstation 2 console. The story is the story and the simulated environment itself is amazing. "Dragon Quest VIII" is one of those RPG games that will make a player forget his normal routine by dragging him from the real world, placing him into an environment filled with magic and wonder. Yes, it's that good, though experience may vary depending on the player's preferences.
The reason for "Dragon Quest VIII" success may lie on its simplicity, the gameplay is easy to master and it showcased the traditional "turn-based" battle system popularized by RPG's like "Final Fantasy VII." The porting of the game encountered a lot of delays.
But based on the current improvements announced, the wait is going to be worth it. "Dragon Quest VIII" will launch on January 20, 2017.
