Is there trouble in the royal house? Are the in-laws not getting along?
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge quietly celebrated Prince George's second birthday last July 22, rumor mills were rolling with a lot of noise. As Parent Herald previously reported, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, were not in attendance at the birthday party due to an official engagement. However, there was apparently another reason for the absence.
It seems Camilla is not welcome at the House of Cambridge and has been banned from seeing Prince George and Charlotte.
During the princess' christening earlier this month, Camilla was said to have ruined the special event. Drinking gin during the celebration, Camilla had an outburst. "She accused the royal family of trying to push her out and vowed 'You will never get rid of me if you don't pay!' And that was the end of the party. Everyone started to leave, muttering their thanks for such a lovely day. The truth is Camilla wrecked Charlotte's christening!" said the source via Celebrity Laundry.
The report goes on to say that Camilla demanded a $400 million dollar divorce from Prince Charles, but with the royal treasury unable to pay, she's stuck with them. So, because of her tendency for bringing tension in the room, William and Kate have decided not to invite her for George's birthday.
Rumors about the ban, however, are not new as Camilla and Kate have had a strained relationship even before, so says another story in Celebrity Laundry, which came out in March.
At that time, even Prince Charles has allegedly told friends that he has been seeing less of his grandson and is peeved at the Middleton's, particularly Kate's mom, Carole. "Carole has rather taken over, dictating when George naps, when and what he eats. All in all, behaving like she's Queen Carole," revealed the source to the news outlet.
But things at the royal houses must have improved after that, however, as Prince George was able to go tree planting with Grandpa Charles just last June, as reported on Parent Herald.
Tom Parker-Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall's son from her first marriage, belies all the stories, particularly his mother's relationship with Kate.
"They get on fine," said Tom via Daily Mail. "I don't think there's any truth to [the rumors of tension]. Well, I can't guarantee for sure, but I think that's all bulls**t," he added.
