Season 5 of "Nashville" looks promising for Will (Chris Carmack) and Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey). The road ahead, however, isn't going to be sunshine and rainbows for the couple. There are speculations that the two's romance would be short-term.
When "Nashville" Season 4 ended, Will and Kevin kissed after the former embraced his sexuality and stood up to a homophobic radio host, according to TVGuide. Naturally, this left "Nashville" fans hopeful for the duo's future and it definitely seems like they are moving towards the right direction.
In "Nashville" Season 5, Will and Kevin "are not only back together, but they're on the fast track to settling down," TVGuide further reported. Despite these, challenges loom over Will's head. The country artist will fear to commit with Kevin for the long-term and he will grapple with "the ever-present temptations that come with fame," which means that he's "going to have a wandering eye" in the upcoming "Nashville" season.
On the other hand, Will Chase may have left "Nashville" but it was recently confirmed that he will reprise his role as Rayna's (Connie Britton) ex-fiancé, Luke Wheeler. The news was announced by Carmack on Twitter. The tweet was accompanied by a snapshot of him and Chase and was taken from the Nashville, Tennessee set of the CMT drama. It appears that Will is the opening act of Luke's concert.
Will and Luke's relationship had its ups and downs. There was a time when Luke wanted to remove Will from his label but now, it appears that the two decided to mend their broken bond.
Chase may not be on "Nashville" Season 5 for long. The actor is currently committed to Broadway and is now a series regular in ABC's "Time After Time," according to TVLine.
"Nashville" Season 5 will address the aftermath of Juliette's (Hayden Panettiere) plane crash. Fortunately, Juliette is alive but is shaken with fear over the accident. New cast members were also added for the upcoming season including Bridgit Mendler, Rhiannon Giddens, Christian Coulson, and Jen Richards, CMT.com listed.
Viewers should expect more music and shorter scripts in Season 5, according to new "Nashville" showrunner Marshall Herskovitz. Also, there are speculations that Scarlett (Claire Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) would rekindle their romance after their reunion.
