A remastered version of "Warcraft 3" is out of sight for its developer, Blizzard Entertainment, as the company's CEO announced the news at BlizzCon 2016. The gaming giant behind titles like "Diablo 3" and "Overwatch" announced that the role-playing game is not a priority for now, although it will continue to get updates, particularly Legion's 7.1.5 and 7.2 patches. "WoW" was also teased to be coming back to its home planet, Argus, in Patch 7.3.
Could this be the slowly creeping death of the massive Blizzard title? Per Eurogamer, Blizzard's CEO Frank Pearce addressed a question during the company's Halloween event regarding "Warcraft" and said that the company is having a hard time unlocking source codes and assets for "WoW."
While there are a few dedicated individuals in the team who had gladly put up excessive effort in remastering the game, the CEO admitted that "Warcraft" is not fun to play with anymore. Pearce shared that he took time playing the game and arrived at a realization that it just won't live up to gamers' standards anymore, hence, their decision to shift focus for other bigger titles.
Meanwhile, the company promised that "Warcraft" will still get steady updates for loyal "WoW" fans. According to Venture Beat, the next "Warcraft 3" patch will be Legion's 7.1.5, and albeit it is just a minor update, it will offer new rewards and even a Timewalking version of the Mists of Pandaria expansion dungeons.
"World of Warcraft: Legion" 7.1.5 patch will be returning "Brawler's Guild" and will be having several mini-events. Further, most of the "Warcraft" 7.1.5 patch will reportedly consist of MMO tweaks and will be bringing back certain specializations.

Right after the "Warcraft 3" 7.1.5 patch comes the slightly bigger update, 7.2, which will be called The Tomb of Sargeras. "WoW" 7.2 patch will carry on with the story of Class Hall campaigns, as well as a 10-25 multiplayer mode where players get to topple down nine bosses.
Just as what Blizzard did with its other titles like "Overwatch" and "Hearthstone", "Warcraft" 7.2 patch will also be added with a Brawl PvP mode. Release dates of the upcoming patches for "WoW" will be announced soon by Blizzard.
Finally, the company said that "Warcraft" will be returning to the demon planet, as reported by Polygon. Not much details were revealed about the said "World of Warcraft: Legion" 7.3 patch, except that it will not be a stand-alone expansion. "World of Warcraft: Legion" 7.3 patch release date is also yet to be announced by Blizzard.
