The Americans have finally spoken up and chose Donald Trump to be the new president. However, along with Hillary Clinton's defeat are reports that George RR Martin is canceling the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" book, "The Winds of Winter." Is there any truth to these "TWOW" reports?
The "ASOIAF" genius has openly supported Hillary Clinton. In his blog, the "The Winds of Winter" scribe couldn't believe that Donald Trump, the "least quality candidate" for him has won the presidential race.
As GRRM rant his disappointment in the recently concluded US election 2016, the "ASOIAF" author teased about the arrival of the long overdue book "The Winds of Winter." "Winter is coming. I told you so," the New Mexican author wrote on his blog.
Following GRRM's announcement that winter is indeed coming are reports debunking the reports that "The Winds of Winter" is canceled due to Hillary Clinton's presidential lose. Yes, "TWOW" is coming and it is impossible for George RR Martin to cancel it given the fact that many are waiting for it.
According to Christian Daily, the delay of "The Winds of Winter" is due to GRRM working on the two last books back to back. "TWOW" and "A Dream of Spring" will be published simultaneously. If this report is true that "ASOIAF" reader will be relieved.
A number of fans have been complaining about the long wait for "The Winds of Winter." They are concerned that if the sixth "ASOIAF" book will be released it will take another five years for George RR Martin to deliver the last book, "A Song of Ice and Fire."
ITechPost added that the long overdue "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring" will be out before "Game of Thrones" Season 7? Hopefully, this time GRRM can deliver because he initially planned to release "TWOW" before 'GoT' S6 but failed.
Unfortunately, while many are hopeful that George RR Martin's last statement in his blog post is a confirmation that "The Winds of Winter" is coming out soon, not all are convinced. One disappointed "TWOW" fan commented that winter is coming but not "The Winds of Winter." Tony Wallace added that finishing the last "ASOIAF" books is the only job that GRRM should attend to but struggle to accomplish it.
Do you agree that George RR Martin should not meddle with politics and focus on "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring" instead? Are you hopeful to see "TWOW" in the bookshelves before "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
