Jessica Chastain Takes On 'Miss Sloane;’ Obsessed With The Prize?

Jessica Chastain is noted to be a character actress playing challenging roles at her best. She starred in a slew of critically acclaimed performances, such as portraying the lady operative in "Zero Dark Thirty" who searched for Osama Bin Laden. Her other roles were Anna Morales in "A Most Violent Year" and Lucille Sharpe in "Crimson Peak." Her latest and upcoming credit will be playing as Elizabeth Sloane in "Miss Sloane."

Elizabeth Sloane is described by director John Madden as being an utterly competitive character on top of her enemies who doesn't like losing. First-time screenwriter Jonathan Perera has established Sloane as someone who ultimately fights for the prize.

"Miss Sloane" is a thriller that revolves around Elizabeth Sloane as she goes into the Senate to defend herself. Hillary Clinton's Benghazi hearing comes to light in this movie. Sloane's wit outsmarts the committee, led by a Democratic legislator (John Lithgow). The committee tries to tear her apart but she's one tough woman, according to The Guardian.

Circumstances made "Miss Sloane" the domineering woman that she is. She manipulates, does not take things personally and even considers sex as purely transactional and pays for it. She's also good when discouraging male escorts upon showing the slightest sign of emotional attachment.

"Miss Sloane" resembles a stereotype robotic function that works solely without life's basic reality. Chastain not only gives justice to Perera's characterization but also greatly adds to Elizabeth Sloane's indecisive being.

Sloane, of course, will not be sorry for the way her life plays out. Chastain pulls through as an actress who believably acts out the character's pains and emotions. Chastain must not be missed in the upcoming thriller.

"Miss Sloane" will be released by Europa Corp on Nov. 25 this year, as announced by Deadline Hollywood. Watch the official trailer below and tell us what you think of Chastain's performance.
