Comedy Central did not hesitate to halt "Not Safe With Nikki Glaser" without hinting that it will be in danger for not renewing. Suddenly the comedy talk show becomes unsafe, perhaps, not the right channel for such a straightforward show for sensitive personal issues. The rating just did not lie.
The cable channel just did not have the patience to prolong the agony so it seems. "Not Safe With Nikki Glaser" features Glaser, Chris Convy and Chris McGuire with their partners Alex Murray and Brad Petrigala from Brillstein Entertainment. The latter is the executive producer of the talk show late at night about sexual confessions in a humorous way.
Glaser was not happy about it as she confirms Comedy Central's final decision to ax "Not Safe With Nikki Glaser". TVLine noted that this happened during Chelsea Handler's Netflix talk show "Chelsea," at the backstage where she was about to queue in for her take on the show as a guest.
"Not Safe With Nikki Glaser" is a gathering of comedians making fond of sexual encounters as they were confessed. This range from dating fall outs up to dating services apps. Glaser is joined by guests who are open to their personal stories of romance and other fantasies or nightmares.
It had a good start when it premiered opting Comedy Central to extend to up to 20 episodes from the original ten ordered. The cable network really means business when it decided not to renew after the rating fell short for another season.
"Not Safe With Nikki Glaser" garnered half-million viewers and Comedy Central is still trying to keep a good business relationship with Glaser as they believe in her potentials - but perhaps shows like that would work better if not prolonged like MTV's "Nikki & Sara Live" that lasted only two seasons despite its popularity.
