"Guardians of the Galaxy" is one of 2014's surprise movie hit which made 773.3 million at the box office. A supposedly secret video game project was recently revealed through a confirmed list.
A list of games, which are currently in development, was made public by the Video Game Voice Actors Union SAG-AFTR, also known as the Screen Actors Guild- American Federation of Television and Radio Artist, according to Attack of the FanBoy. The list is about the video games not affected by the strike. One entry has basically caught the attention of the gaming community. Production number A0207791 with the title "Guardians Of The Galaxy- The Video Game" a/k/a Blue Harvest by O'Farrell Enterprises, LLC., the same O'Farrell Enterprises who's working on "The Walking Dead Season 3."
Telltale Games, is considered as one of the most successful games with either a movie or series tie-in. The video game company is famous for their realistic approach towards their games, making the experience more satisfying and exciting to both players and audience. Some of the company's popular movie tie-in games include HBO's "The Game of Thrones," "Batman: The Telltale Series," "CSI," and "The Walking Dead" series.
This revelation could go two ways, hype the public or fan out the excitement. A title like "Guardians of the Galaxy - The Video Game" could be part of the upcoming promotion of the upcoming movie. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's" scheduled release is on April 2017. The movie has been kept secret to the public that even the trailer shown in Comic-Con 2016 was restricted outside the convention. Chances are this could jeopardize the surprise staged for the promotion of the movie or this could be the game version's unexpected no-cost promotional hype. The good thing about this, though, is that fans of the franchise already knows that they will get two types of content in 2017. Check out the confirmation report below from IGN News.
