Nokia D1C is expected to be released before the year ends but a recent report claimed that the new smartphone will ship in early 2017. The device is said to arrive in three variants such as Gold, Black and White but its Gold variant is believed to have a unique build and features. Here is a roundup of the leaked specs of Nokia D1C.
As stated above, Nokia D1C is expected to arrive in three selections but its Gold variant is suggested to sport an all-metal unibody build. The other variants, the Black and White, are said to be made with a metal frame while the back cover will be polycarbonate. Apart from the difference in the material used, the Gold Nokia D1C is also believed to be the only variant that will be embedded with a fingerprint sensor, Mobipicker reported.
Nokia D1C is also said to run on the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat, Parent Herald reported. It will also sport an octa-core CPU powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz. Its GPU is suggested to be an Adreno 505 while its RAM is expected to be at 3GB.
More specs of Nokia D1C include a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD display. Its internal storage capacity is believed to be 32GB which can be expanded up to 128GB through microSD. Nokia D1C's primary camera is expected to be 16MP while its rear camera is 8MP.
Meanwhile, a report from Parent Herald claimed that Nokia will be launching brand new devices before the end of the year. However, reports on the release of Nokia D1C point to a possible early 2017 launch because of HMD Global is reportedly busy on the marketing and distribution of their products. For the uninitiated, HMD Global is the company who owns the rights to distribute new Nokia smartphones.
Nokia D1C's launch date may have been pushed by HMD Global's marketing campaign. However, 2017 is only a couple of months away so fans may just need to wait a little longer until the release of the brand new Nokia smartphone. In the meantime, see more features of Nokia D1C in the clip below.
