Quite awkward hearing from people in their 60's admitting to past forbidden love affair. This is the case of Carrie Fisher's admission over "Carrison" - the name given to the Carrie-Harrison alleged affair. The secret was confirmed by Fisher in her new memoir "The Princess Diarist." It contains details of the two's steamy encounter.
Harrison Ford was a dashing 33-year-old father of two children during those times. It was "Star Wars" director George Lucas' birthday party when the secret affair started. As Fisher recalled, it was so intense but short-lived.
The affair ended right after filming the movie. Fisher told People that it made her insecure - that she could not satisfy somebody like Harrison.
Fisher's admission on the "Carrison" affair somewhat shocked people, especially those who followed them in 1976, for the original "Star Wars" movie. The 60-year-old actress divulging such secret that happened four decades ago is not something that will affect concerned individuals.
She did inform Ford about publishing it in her book, "The Princess Diarist" that will be released on Nov. 22. She was only 19 at that time. Ford managed to convince her to drink after others failed at his studio car. It was where they kissed for the very first time then back to Carrie's place after meeting Mark Hamill.
He was married to his first wife Mary Marquardt, with whom he had two children. Hamill was a witness when they found Fisher at Ford's place the next morning - where he declared that they were engaged, which was, of course, a mockery!
After all, she looked up to him as a hero and hoped that she is good enough for him. It was quite an obsession but for Ford, the affair did not register in his memories and acted like it's not a big deal, according to Hollywood Life.
