Netflix's "Gilmore Girls" revival stars walked the red carpet in L.A. for its official premiere. Four new episodes called 'A Year in the Life' returns after being gone a decade ago in 2007. What's amazing is, the personalities did not age at all.
Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Scott Patterson (Luke), Matt Czuchry (Logan), Liza Weil (Paris), David Sutcliffe (Christopher), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), Keiko Agena (Lane), are seen during the event who were also at Stars Hollow sets previously, as per TV Line.
The early episodes of "Gilmore Girls" are trying to recreate the tiny Connecticut town of Stars Hollow in the original season. There's Luke (Scott Patterson) who gets impatient with freeloaders who request for his wifi password. Kirk (Sean Gunn) is fascinated with the money-making scheme.
"Gilmore Girls" can depend on Lauren Graham for its success. She still attacks Amy Sherman-Palladino's brilliant dialogue perfectly for her character as Lorelai Gilmore. Two annoying women Lorelai, Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) get on the nerves of viewers for their selfishness.
"A Year in the Life" foundation is somewhat thorny and painful. The Gilmore women mourn the demise of Emily's husband, Richard. He has a vital role in the clan and it is justifiable spending ample time to celebrate his life. It is indeed a good tribute also to actor Edward Herrmann, for the versatility of Richard all throughout those years.
The heart of the episode revolves around Lorelai's feeling rejected by her own mother, Emily. She has never come to terms with her daughter's high spirit. She even condemned her when she got pregnant when she was still16 years old. Emily turns to Lorelai when she's afraid at the moment. They still argue just for the sake of wanting to control the family's story, according to Variety.
