‘Narcos’ Season 3 Cast & Spoilers: Curtiss Cook Joins Netflix’s Cartel Drama; Pablo Escobar’s Son Talks About His Father’s Last Minutes Alive

"Narcos" Season 3 is already preparing for its return on Netflix next year, and new characters are being added to the list. Curtiss Cook is the latest to join the cast. Meanwhile, Pablo Escobar's son shares he was on the phone with his father 10 minutes before he died.

"House of Cards" actor Curtiss Cook has signed a recurring role in Netflix's drug cartel drama, Deadline reported. Cook will play Gilbert Mills in "Narcos" Season 3. Aside from his character's name, there were no further details announced.

Curtiss Cook's casting news came after Andrea Londo was added to the cast of "Narcos" Season 3 last week. Andrea Londo is going to play as a young Columbian beauty queen named Maria.

"Narcos" Season 3 is expected to return on the canvass in 2017, picking up to the death of the Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar, played by Wagner Moura. The third season is reportedly going to focus on Cali cartel, one of the greatest rival of Escobar's Medellin cartel.

Pedro Pascal, who played as Agent Javier Pena in the first two seasons of "Narcos," is returning to reprise his role in "Narcos" Season 3. Wagner Moura is also rumored to return and appear as Pablo Escobar in flashbacks to establish how the conflict between Medellin and Cali cartels began and escalated. Boyd Holbrook, however, is still not confirmed to come back and reprise his role as Agent Steve Murphy.

Meanwhile, Pablo Escobar's eldest child Juan Pablo Escobar shared in "60 Minutes" about the last moments of his father. As reported by Daily Mail, Juan Escobar said he was over the phone with the cocaine kingpin before he died in hands of the Columbian National Police on Dec. 2, 1993.

Right after the announcement that Pablo Escobar has been killed, Juan Escobar felt so angry that he said he would continue the works of his father. But he took back his words shortly after and chose to live a peaceful life. Juan Escobar is now an architect and is living in Argentina.
