Donald Trump's recent announcements on education have created a mixed reaction in masses. People are looking forward to any positive changes Trump's policies would make.
Analysts are working with a lot of theories as for the time being. According to Huffington Post, people have not much of a liking for the pro-charter policies of the Obama administration. Experts say that the numbers in favor of charter schools are no less than those who are opposing them.
Harvard Education Press advertised a book titled, "Charter schools at the crossroads " written by Chester E. Finn Jr., Bruno V. Mano and Brandon L. Right. The authors have analyzed the charter school systems and provide a helpful insight to what do these schools lack and what to expect from them in the future. The book also gives information on accomplishments and achievements of the charter schools.
The opponents of the charter school systems, on the other hand, accuse them of being over disciplinary, hard on tests, mismanagement and low performance. In fact, some of the criticisms are actually right as funds for charter schools are affecting other areas.
The charter schools have to be corrected where there are needed to be. Initially, they need to set things straight, any misleading information using the media campaign should be stopped right away. Diverse ethnicity should be seen in charter schools as children of different colors study there and people with color should be given a chance to teach them as well.
Charter schools have a history of shutting down ill-reputed schools but doubling the best performing schools has been neglected over the past years. Charter schools also need to respond to the criticisms with more efficacy and brilliance.
It is interesting though that many public and traditional schools have also been criticized for over-controlling and burdening children with extra tests. The foremost thing charter schools had to keep in mind is that parents are most concerned about their children safety and future, and schools should work in these areas.
