LG G6 is said to retain a removable battery to avoid possible safety issues. The new LG flagship smartphone is also expected to sport interesting features such as mobile payment and iris scanner. Here is a roundup of the suggested features of the device.
LG Electronics apparently opted to pack a removable battery in the LG G6 for the issues of safety and yield, The Korea Herald reported. Phone Arena also pointed that it is less expensive to replace batteries instead of doing a full recall of the smartphone itself.
Apart from the removable battery, specs of LG G6 features also include the latest technology of iris recognition. Reports claimed that LG just revealed a new all-in-one module that could function as a camera and an iris scanner at the same time. The technology, which was unveiled in October during the Korea Electronics Show, is suggested to be implemented in the new LG G6.
Another compelling LG G6 specs is the rumored LG Pay, LG's mobile payment system. Similar to Samsung Pay, the technology also uses Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST Solution). It is believed to allow users make easy payments by simply tapping the smartphone on the magnetic card readers usually found in stores.
Meanwhile, LG G6 design is said to be very slim without bezels, Gizbot reported. Its has a unimetal body with a 5.6-inch AMOLED screen. The new device is also suggested to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and will come with 6GB of RAM.
