'Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?' Finale: Season 2 Canceled? On-Screen Wedding In Jeopardy?

"Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?" recently wrapped up its first season. Of course, fans are wondering whether a Season 2 is on the cards for Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell's romance. Would a second season happen?

Fans are assuming that the couple's wedding would finally happen on "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?" Season 2. Higgins and Bushnell, however, are uncertain about the reality show's future beyond Season 1.

Bushnell said in an interview with E! News that they're "trying not to think too far" and that they "haven't really thought about it." She added that they are still waiting for "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?" Season 2 to be presented to them.

Higgins and Bushnell's wedding was postponed since the former decided to in a recent "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?" episode. He thinks that they are moving too fast and they still need to know each other first before diving into that lifetime commitment.

Higgins, however, stressed that the wedding is still happening though it "doesn't have the immediacy as it did before." He added that Bushnell continues to talk about the wedding cake, dress, and the food, so it kind of feels like they're in the planning stage.

Bushnell said that they have no idea about when the wedding is happening. She insisted that they're "just trying to enjoy the time now" because there are plenty of unanswered questions and they are almost always not in control of the things that are happening on "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?"

The finale of "Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?" Season 1, however, turned all of these things around when Higgins told Bushnell that their wedding is pushing through. The revelation happened after the couple's respective bachelor and bachelorette parties, according to USA Today.

Higgins' pals were sad when they knew about the canceled wedding, but they still surprised him with a montage of his sweet moments with Bushnell. After watching the video, Higgins called Bushnell and asked her to meet him.

Higgins delivered a sweet speech to a clueless Bushnell, saying that he couldn't live a day without seeing her. He told her that he's going to be her husband and that they're wedding is definitely happening. The couple wrapped it up by saying that they see each other as their "person." Their on-screen wedding, however, is still unsure given that Season 2 is unconfirmed as of late.
