'The Mummy' Trailer Teases Gods, Monsters And Scares That Features Tom Cruise [SPOILERS]

The Universal Monsters Universe is going high with Tom Cruise's new movie as shown in the thriller that just hit online viewers. It is a horror and action offering that would surely fascinate and scare many people.

"The Mummy" franchise, was Universal's top money-making film in the 20th century that shows Brendan Fraser's action-star potential, and now it is about to launch a reboot with Tom Cruise at its best, says Business Insider.

The thriller gave a bit of contrast how things are done in the modern times when a team of paramilitary archaeologists exploit the forbidden area and accidentally freed Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella), a fierce ancient evil on the Earth. Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) must return "The Mummy" to his tomb in the nick of time.

An old narrative in a totally different scenario, "The Mummy" retains the right blend of horror and action -- but gives a modern and mature treatment to this Universal classic. Tom Cruise must have prepared physically on this one with the kind of vigorous running he's doing here.

The thriller already gives the impression that Universal Monsters Universe is set to win on this excellent project that sadly put "Dracula Untold" into oblivion. Russell Crowe's joining "The Mummy" as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde even made other similar production stints insecure. That's an observation that can either encourage or discourage other filmmakers that might follow suit.

Crowe's presence would surely ignite the classic nature of the film, as it is widely promoted that he is indeed a vital player in the story. Despite not knowing how this affects Tom Cruise's leading the casts yet, it is certain that it's going to be in a positive way. The film is scheduled to be released on June 9, 2017, according to Cinema Blend.
